Macrene Actives High Performance Concealer was created by , a prominent New York dermatologist, to address a clear need she saw in her dermatology practice: many of her breakout-prone patients wanted to wear concealer or foundation, but their makeup was often making their acne worse. So she created this non-comedogenic product to even out skin tone while at the same time fighting aging and acne with more than 30 active ingredients, including a suite of peptides to address fine lines and wrinkles; amino acids to address hyperpigmentation; squalane and sunflower to moisturize and maintain a healthy skin barrier; and marine extracts for additional protection against aging.

This formula — which is the full-coverage with more concentrated pigment and a concealer applicator — reflects and adapts to your own complexion, providing buildable coverage for blemishes and specific problem areas or all over for a smooth, even skin tone. The Light shade is extra light and a good match for porcelain complexions with a pink undertone (it tends not to match as well for those with yellow undertones). The Medium shade is versatile and will suit most fair to light tan skin tones; Light-Medium is ideal for those on the lighter end of this range. The Deep shade is ideal for tan to dark skin tones; Medium-Deep is best for those on the lighter end of this range. Extra Deep is best for full-face coverage in deeply pigmented skin and can also be used as a contour for a naturally deep, defined look.
