Squeeze several drops of this floatant on your finger and gently work it into your dry fly to help it float properly.  Be careful that you do not matte the hackle.  
*For CDC flies and dry flies such has no hackles and small midge patterns we find  ,  or perform better since they don't matte the fibers together as much.
