1920's Art Deco Deauville Richard Hudnut vintage profiles powder and rouge compact in excellent condition.

The piece is a silver tone compact with turquoise and white enameled painted faces. It has double profiles, facing in opposite directions.

There are two compartments, one empty rouge compartment behind the mirror, with the original powder puff, and a covered powder compartment with some loose powder remaining. It's hallmarked on the back of the mirror lid "DE AUVILLE" as well as "Richard Hudnut Made In USA".

The mirror is clear and in great condition, with only very faint haze; it still shows a crisp reflection. This compact is in fabulous condition; with no dents, dings, rust or corrosion; just some very light scuffing. The hinges and closure work perfectly, and it snaps shut tightly. It is 2 1/4 inches in diameter by 1/2 inch in thickness.
